Best Smelling Kid-Safe Slime
Im going to start this post with a mini rant... I don't like slime recipes that encourage kids to play with borax, yes borax. The stuff you use to kill ants. (or glue for that matter) Did you know that borax can cause chemical burns on your skin? Yet, when you search for slime recipes online majority of them call for it. Whyyy? *end rant* Anyways, if you are familiar with my blog and kids activities you know, I like to use kid-safe ingredients that wont harm little ones if they do decide to put it in their mouths. that being said....
If you are looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon, this kid-safe slime recipe is a winner! When we make this slime recipe the kids have a blast and it keeps them occupied for a good long time!
This is seriously the best slime recipe for little ones and the best part, it only has two ingredients! Yep! Just. two. ingredients. Here's the secret to the magic...
Ingredients:
1 Cup Water
2 Tbsp Metamucil
(optional) Extra fine glitter
Directions:
Mix water, Metamucil and glitter well in a large microwave safe bowl ( the mixture will rise a lot)
Microwave for 4 minutes. Stop the microwave when mixture starts to rise up over the top. Open the microwave and stir mixture. Continue this process until the 4 minutes are up.
Let mixture cool completely before letting kids play
Enjoy!
