VALENTINES LIPPIES -Tutorial

Its going to be a busy couple of months with 2 blog hops and and a card swap so I wanted to get a jump start on valentines day goodies for my kids teachers. Tonight I started making these lip gloss tags to attach to their valentine gifts. I used the lip balm window frame and "Sending Smooches"sentiment stamp by MFT and an assortment of card stock and ribbon. I used Distress Oxide for the two tone tag with the rose. The rose is from the "Rainbow and Roses"set by Strawberry Jude.

I hope these inspire you to make something fun and unique for valentines day! To get updates on new blog posts subscribe to my blog below! Thank you for stopping by! Aloha!

First you will need to cut your card stock paper into (two) 2in x 4in pieces. Using a die cutting machine and the MFT dies you will need to cut out the window on the piece of paper you will be using for the front. (the plastic pouch will fit in here). The window is optional. I made some with and without in the photos above. In this case I used the frame and punched it out of white card stock. Rounding the corners with a punch is optional. Personally, I like the way it looks.

Once you have everything punched and cut out all you need to do is assemble your cards. Glue the frame to the front of the card around the opening. Then glue the plastic pouch to the back of the same piece of paper so that it looks like the picture below.

Place the lip balm into the pouch, taking care to make sure the pretty side is facing outward. then glue the second piece of paper to the back. Once you have your card assembled you can decorate it with ribbon and embellishments, stamps, sentiments etc.

You can adjust the size of your cards to fit your taste/needs. the pink cards pictured above are 2in x 5in.
