MAGICAL CASTLE AND FIREWORKS

Im participating in a swap. This one has weird dimensions, 3in x 6in. I wanted to do something taller rather than longer and because there wasn't much space I wanted to give it an interactive element. I used the "Park Cuties" stamp set by Kindred Stamps.

Seriously, If you haven't seen this set you need to go check it out! I'm so excited to play with the rest of this adorable set! Anyways, back to the project.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the fireworks, which I downloaded from the Silhouette program. I attached a small piece of acetate to the back of the fireworks to reinforce them and keep them from breaking.

After coloring the castle with Prismacolor Pencils, I attached it to the front of the card. and used a circle punch to punch out a notch in the top of the card. Next, I Cut a piece of rainbow paper about 1/2 in narrower than the card itself. I glued a scrap piece slightly wider to the bottom as a stopper so the insert doesn't pull out completely. I added "Stickels" by Ranger to the rainbow paper to give it some sparkle! Then I punched a hole in the top and added ribbon.

I glued a 3in x 6in piece to the back to finish it up and close it up. You need to be extra careful with this part, if you use too much glue, the insert will stick and it wont work. Glue as close to the edge of the paper as possible. Make sure you glue the top a little farther in than the sides, so the stopper you made at the bottom of the insert will catch it and stop the rainbow paper from coming all the way out.

I will have to make an envelope for this one because I don't even know if they make any this size lol! I have affiliate links to some of the products I used below. Ok, well thats my magical swap card! Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to make something magical! To see more of my creations subscribe to my blog below! Mahalo!
